Antoine

Antoine formed in Paris in 1966, led by vocalist Antoine Domino. Their song 'Cannella' came out that same year and became a major hit in France. They followed it with tracks like 'Je l'appelle Canelle' and 'La Tramontana'.

For a few years, they kept releasing albums, including one called 'Comme un grand' in 1971. The band's lineup included Boby Bard on bass, Richard Seff on drums, and Jacky Gibrat on guitar. They sometimes worked with other musicians, like Serge Gainsbourg, who wrote some material for them.

In the early 1970s, they got into a legal dispute over 'Comme un grand,' which took some attention away from the music. Their lyrics often touched on social issues, which drew both supporters and critics.
