Antônio Filho is a Brazilian musician who first gained attention in the early 1960s as part of the band Os Novos Baianos. He contributed to their experimental sound on albums like 1972's 'Acabou Chorare' before eventually pursuing solo work.

His most recognized song is 'Passos Silentes,' released in 1975. The track's quiet, introspective quality became something of a signature for him, and it remains his best-known work alongside songs like 'Apascentava Moisés' and 'Clama a Mim.'

Filho's lyrics sometimes drew attention from censors during Brazil's politically tense 1970s, though he kept writing in his own style. He continued making music in later years, maintaining a steady if somewhat understated presence in Brazilian music.
