Antunes formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1985 with Ricardo Chaves on vocals, Rodrigo Tavares on guitar, Luiz Fernando Oliveira on bass, and Carlos Felipe on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 1988, but it was their 1991 follow-up, also called 'Louco de Prazer,' that really connected. The title track became a hit, though its lyrics and video drew criticism from some conservative corners and got it pulled from some radio stations.
They kept making records, releasing 'O Som do Tempo' in 1995 and 'Puro Prazer' in 2000. Other songs like 'Ei Presidente' and 'Nosso Fim' are part of their catalog. The band put out six studio albums in total, with the last one, 'A Regra do Jogo,' arriving in 2014.
