Apocalypse Orchestra

Apocalypse Orchestra came together in London during the late 20th century. Their music has often been described as experimental rock, though that label doesn't quite capture the specific atmosphere they create. The group was led by vocalist and composer Morwenna Pryce, with Martin Archer on guitar and Daniel McGeehan on bass.

In 1999, they released an album called "The Garden of Earthly Delights," which took its name and inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch's famous painting. The record includes songs like "Flagellants' Song" and "The Great Mortality," which give a sense of their thematic interests. Their work tends to explore darker, more spiritual themes, which has sometimes made their lyrics feel esoteric to listeners.

Their live shows were known for being intense and immersive, creating an environment that could be as unsettling as it was compelling. While they collaborated with other musicians over time, the core trio of Pryce, Archer, and McGeehan remained the constant center of the project.
