Apocrifo formed in Rosario, Argentina in 2003 with Daniel "Valle" De Castro on vocals, Guillermo "Guille" Sánchez on guitar, Hernán "Bruz" Bruzza on bass, and Alejandro "Ale" Castro on drums. They released their debut EP "In tenebris" in 2005 after building a local following through live shows.
Their first full-length album "The Devils of Apocrifo" came out in 2007, followed by "The Act of Antichrist" in 2010, "Lucifer Above, Man Below" in 2013, and "Antimateria" in 2017. Songs like "Amytiville," "Blood On The Walls," and "Carniceiro de Plainfield" show their interest in dark themes and horror narratives.
