ApolloZ formed in the early 2000s with Fábio Almeida on vocals and guitar, André Araújo on bass, and Mário Dias on drums. They put out their debut album 'Sorria, Você Vai Vencer' in 2004, though some critics found its upbeat style too simple at the time.

Their 2006 single 'Pensamento Positivo' became a major hit in Brazil, connecting with listeners who appreciated its straightforward message about staying hopeful. That same year they released an album of the same name. Other songs like 'Escolhas' and 'Sereia' also found an audience.

While their music was generally pop and rock with Brazilian rhythms, the band's focus on positivity sometimes drew debate. Some felt their outlook didn't fully acknowledge life's harder realities, even as their songs kept reaching people.
