Aragem formed in Helsinki in 2008 with vocalist Jaakko Teittinen, guitarists Jussi Wickström and Sebastiaan Sipiläinen, bassist Timo Valtonen, and drummer Otso Uotila. They self-released their debut album 'The Birth of Tragedy' in 2011 after struggling to find label support for their heavy sound.
Their 2014 album 'Finalis Actum' gave the band one of their most recognized songs, and they've continued releasing material through 2020's 'Vulture's Vigil'.
