Aranza

Aranza formed in Mexico City around 2005 with Dulce María on vocals, Daniel Habif on guitar, Ulises Briceño on bass, and Alejandro Charpenel on drums. Their debut single "Dime" became a hit, leading to their self-titled album in 2006. The song established their early sound, which leaned into Latin pop with straightforward melodies and rhythmic grooves.

In 2009, Dulce María left to pursue solo work, and Andrea Ibarra joined as the new vocalist. The band released "Atrévete" that same year, shifting toward more mature themes while keeping their pop energy. Later albums like "La Vida es un Viaje" and "Sin Miedo" showed them experimenting with their sound, though they stayed grounded in melodic writing.

Songs like "Escalera Al Cielo," "Para Dormir Contigo," and "A Fuego Lento" reflect their range from romantic ballads to mid-tempo pop. Their music occasionally stirred debate, but they kept recording and performing without much drama. They were a working band, not a phenomenon, and that's probably why their catalog has held up.
