In 1997, his debut album came out, and the single 'Estoy Enamorado' became a hit. That song's straightforward melody and earnest delivery connected with listeners and helped establish him as a singer.
He released more albums like 'Enamorándome' in 1998 and 'Corazón Guerrero' in 2000. At some point, he put together a band called Arath de la Torre y su Banda. There was an incident in 2004 involving a photographer that drew attention, but he kept performing and recording, putting out a live album in 2005.
