Araújo Sertanejo

Araújo Sertanejo is a Brazilian music band formed by brothers Edson and Hudson in the early 2000s. They came up in Brazil's countryside, where their vocal chemistry and live performances built a following. In 2004, their album 'Alma Sertaneja' brought them wider attention, anchored by the song 'Pra Sempre Somos Um'.

That track became something of an anthem for the band, with its straightforward lyrics about lasting connection. It's the kind of song that stuck around in their setlists and on radio, giving them a recognizable piece in the sertanejo scene.

Around 2010, the brothers got tangled in a legal fight over the band's name, which threatened to split them up. A couple years later, Edson was diagnosed with a neurological condition that affected his guitar playing, forcing him to adapt how he approached music. Their catalog since then has been steady, if less dramatic, built on the same earnest style they started with.
