Arautos do Evangelho

Arautos do Evangelho is a Brazilian ensemble that began in 1996 as part of the Heralds of the Gospel, a Catholic association. They started as a small choir and gradually built a catalog of recordings focused on traditional hymns. Their 2002 album 'Ave Maris Stella' shares its name with one of their best-known songs.

Their music draws from Catholic liturgical tradition, with titles like 'Ave, Ó Maria Imaculada!' and 'A Cristo Rei' reflecting this focus. The group has worked with musicians including conductor Plínio Fernandes Netto and tenor João Paulo de Araújo, though their lineup has shifted over time.
