Arbelino Jose

Arbelino Jose was born in Jaboticabal, Brazil in 1951. He started writing and performing songs that reflected his faith as a young man. In 1978, during a prayer meeting, he felt what he described as a divine call to share his music more widely.

He formed a band around that time and began releasing music that blended faith with accessible rhythms. Some religious leaders criticized his use of secular instruments, but he continued writing songs focused on God's love and redemption. His 1980 song "Deixa Deus Te Usar" became particularly well-known among Christian music listeners in Brazil.

Arbelino Jose's music reached audiences through numerous albums over the following decades. His approach helped make gospel themes more accessible to broader audiences while maintaining a clear devotional focus.
