Arcanjo Guy

Arcanjo Guy came out of São Paulo in the early 2000s, led by Guilherme Arcanjo. Their sound didn't fit neatly into existing genres, which meant they had to build an audience through live shows rather than radio play. The band's lineup included Thiago Jácome on bass, Bruno Morais on drums, and Renato Nunes on keyboards.

Their debut album was called 'Música para Matar,' and they followed it with records like 'Fúria' and 'Galope.' The song 'Bela Atriz' became one of their most recognizable tracks, along with others like 'cabelos coloridos' and 'Minha Paz.'

Their lyrics often dealt with subjects that made some listeners uncomfortable, touching on violence and drug use in ways that felt raw and direct. This earned them both dedicated fans and critics who found their approach too provocative. They worked with various rappers, DJs, and traditional musicians over time, which kept their sound from settling into one thing.
