Archelaws

Archelaws formed in 2014 around multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Eli Abitbol, who brought classical training and interests in folk and electronic music to the project. The band's sound has some of the introspective quality of artists like Nick Drake and Radiohead, though they've developed their own approach over a few releases.

Their 2016 EP 'Land Rover' introduced the track that became their most recognizable song. That same year, they put out a full-length album called 'Eulogy,' followed by 'The Distant Shore' in 2021. Along with Abitbol, the group includes Julien Ottavi on bass and backing vocals and Leo Pernet on drums and percussion.

While they've maintained a somewhat low profile, their music has found listeners who respond to its atmospheric quality. Songs like 'Land Rover' and 'Quero Ser o Seu Amante' show their blend of melodic sensibility and thoughtful arrangements.
