Archgoat

Archgoat formed in Finland in 1995, playing a particularly raw and aggressive style of black metal. Their debut album 'Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration)' came out in 1999, followed by records like 'The Apocalyptic Triumphator' in 2003 and 'The Light-Devouring Darkness' in 2007.

Their music tends toward blast beats, tremolo picking, and harsh vocals, with lyrics focused on occult themes. Songs like 'Grand Marshall Of The Black Tower' and 'Angel Of Sodomy' give a fair sense of their sound and subject matter.

The band has kept a consistent lineup with members using pseudonyms like Lord Angelslayer on vocals and Ritual Butcherer on guitar. They've continued releasing albums into the 2010s and 2020s, maintaining their particular approach without much change in direction.
