Archie Noble formed in London around 2010 with Ethan James on vocals and guitar, Leo Carter on bass, Rory Smith on drums, and Amelia Jones on keyboards. They started playing local venues and put out their debut single 'Over The Hills' in 2012. That song, along with 'To An Old Friend,' became one of their better-known tracks.
In 2014 they released their first album, 'Chasing Shadows.' They followed it with 'Echoes of Yesterday' in 2017 and 'The Weight of the World' in 2020. Their sound moved between indie rock and some electronic touches.
There was some noise around a leaked demo in 2013 that drew criticism for its content, but the band kept working. They were one of those groups that built a following without becoming a mainstream name.
