Archive material and source history
Ardi formed in Monterrey in 1997 as a quartet with Saúl Hernández on vocals and guitar, Armando Vega on bass, Rafael Márquez on drums, and Ricardo Peralta on guitar. They put out their first album in 1999 and have released several more since, including '13' in 2002 and 'Resurrección' in 2019.
Their song 'Lástima' became widely known, capturing a particular kind of longing that connected with listeners. It's from their 2009 album of the same name.
In 2004, Hernández was injured in a car accident. A few years later, Peralta left the band and was replaced by Omar Acosta.
