Ariel Camacho was born in Guamúchil, Sinaloa in 1990. He started playing accordion as a teenager, drawing from norteño and banda traditions. In 2012, he formed Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho with his cousin Julián Álvarez.
Their 2014 song 'El Toro Encartado' became a national hit in Mexico. The track's narrative about a doomed affair connected with listeners and established Camacho's presence in regional Mexican music. Another song, 'Me Gustas Mucho,' also found an audience during this period.
Camacho released several albums including 'Hablemos de Frente' in 2014 and 'El Karma' in 2015. He died in 2015 at age 24.
