In the early 2000s, Couto released his debut album "Só Pra Falar de Amor." A few years later, his song "Mais Que Imaginei" became a major hit in Brazil.
Around 2012, another musician accused Couto of plagiarizing the melody for "Mais Que Imaginei," but the case was dismissed in court.
