Army of Anyone

Army of Anyone was a short-lived rock band formed in 2005 by Richard Patrick from Filter and the DeLeo brothers from Stone Temple Pilots. They released one self-titled album in 2006, with drummer Ray Luzier from Korn playing on the record before being replaced by Mike Bordin of Faith No More. The band's lineup read like a who's who of 90s alternative rock, but they only lasted about six years before quietly dissolving around 2011.

Their debut single 'Generation' got some attention at the time, with its guitar-heavy sound and Patrick's distinctive vocals. Other tracks like 'A Better Place' and 'Leave It' followed a similar formula of melodic rock with some post-grunge textures. The album had that familiar sound you'd expect from musicians who came up in that era, but it didn't quite catch fire beyond their existing fanbases.

There were some lineup changes and reported tensions along the way, but mostly Army of Anyone just came together, made a record, toured a bit, and then went their separate ways. Patrick returned to Filter, the DeLeos eventually reunited with Stone Temple Pilots, and the project became more of a footnote than a major chapter in any of their careers.
