Archive material and source history
As Lobinhas formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1999 with Adriana Moreira on lead vocals, Vanessa de Oliveira on backing vocals and drums, Fernanda Brandão on guitars, and Miriam Macedo on bass. Their debut album came out in 2001, featuring the hit "O Top da Lista" that got heavy radio play in Brazil. They followed it with albums like "Mexe Mexe" in 2003 and "Me Beija" in 2005.
Their lyrics and stage presence drew criticism from some conservative groups, but the band didn't back down from their approach. They broke up in 2007 after tensions between Moreira and the other members, then reunited in 2015 for a tour and have done occasional shows since. Songs like "5 Brigas" and "A Coisa Mais Linda" stayed in their setlists.
