An 80s Brazilian punk band whose song 'Bad Girl' became an anthem.
If you want to hear what they were about, 'Bad Girl' is the obvious place. 'Doce Ácido' has that same sharp edge.
They came out of Rio's punk scene when an all-female band was still a statement. 'Bad Girl' became a kind of anthem, and tracks like 'Doce Ácido' and 'Enquanto Eu Fujo de Você' carried that same raw energy. Their lyrics and performances sometimes drew criticism, but they kept going for about a decade.
The group formed in the 1980s with vocalist Patricia 'Pata' de Moraes, drummer Carmen 'Caca' Diegues, bassist Simone 'Simoninha' Guedes, and guitarist Roberta 'Baby' Frederico. They put out a self-titled debut album that featured 'Bad Girl,' and later released records called 'Aguenta o Rolo' and 'Deixa Rolar.' The band stopped around 1992.

Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
