A Brazilian group that rode the 2000s with hits like 'Dança do Vampiro' and kept recording through 2015.
For their early axé energy, 'Dança do Vampiro' still works. 'Como É Que Você Foi Embora' shows their ballad side.
They were one of the axé acts that defined that sound in Salvador in the late '90s and 2000s. Songs like 'Carminha' and 'Corpo Moreno' show their mix of uptempo party tracks and ballads. Even with some controversy around 'Dança do Vampiro', they kept putting out albums for years.
They formed in Salvador in 1998 with Luiz Caldas fronting. Through the 2000s they released records like 'Nada É Por Acaso' and 'A Vida É Uma Festa', then kept going with 'Festa do Interior' in 2009 and 'O Mundo É Nosso' in 2015. Some listeners felt their sound shifted toward more commercial territory later on.
