Asghath

Asghath is a duo from Berlin, Germany, made up of vocalist Silke Harten and multi-instrumentalist Carsten Nicolai. Their music draws from minimalist electronic, ambient, and experimental electronica. Their debut album was called "A Thousand Years of Neglect."

One of their better-known tracks is "Doppelgänger," which features Harten's vocals over a brooding melody. The song deals with the idea of a double or alter ego. Other songs in their catalog include "Inside This Number," "L'Alba Della Nostra Potenza," and "Through Dead Realms Of Ash And Oblivion."

They released another album titled "Fractal Romance." Their approach has sometimes been called inaccessible, but they've generally kept to their own style.
