Ashba

Ashba formed in Chicago in 1999, with guitarist James Ashba and vocalist Johnny Revol at the core. They started playing local shows and working on material that would eventually appear on their debut album. In 2006, they released 'Addiction to the Friction,' which included the track 'Blind.'

That album brought them wider attention, though some listeners questioned the directness of their lyrics about addiction and personal struggle. They followed it with 'Beauty in Chaos,' which continued in a similar vein. Songs like 'Break Everything' and 'Love Always Lets You Down' became staples in their setlists.

They kept touring and recording, putting out songs such as 'On The Ground' and 'Respect.' The band's sound stayed rooted in heavy guitar rock with melodic vocals, without much shift toward mainstream polish.
