Ashes Divide was a rock project that came together in 2005 around Breaking Benjamin frontman Benjamin Burnley. They released two albums: 'Keep Telling Myself It's Alright' in 2008 and 'The Stone' in 2012. Songs like 'Forever Can Be' and 'The Stone' carried some of the atmospheric weight of Burnley's main band, but with a more melodic approach.
Burnley's health problems, including a vocal injury, led to canceled tours and delayed work. There was also a legal dispute with their label Hollywood Records over creative control. The project wound down around 2016 when Burnley returned his focus to Breaking Benjamin.
