Icicles

The fortune teller waits for another chance

Puts her hand on mine, her eyes are closed

I stare out the window at the icicles

So much higher than I think I’ll ever go

Drinking in the noise of the evening air

Fading out like a man

Sometimes I can’t belong anywhere

But I’ve been thinking that since my thoughts began

Winter’s tears sharpened by the cold
