Archive material and source history

Aspen Grove formed in the late 1990s as a quartet from the San Bernardino Mountains. Their debut album 'Whispers of the Grove' came out in 2001, followed by 'Sanctuary' in 2005. The band included Sarah Lane on vocals and guitar, Andrew Evans on guitar, Michael Hughes on bass, and David Hill on drums.

Their 2009 album 'July 19' featured the title track that became one of their most recognized songs. Other tracks like 'I Don't Mind' and 'Where am I Going' show their acoustic folk style with introspective lyrics. The band took a brief hiatus in 2007 when Sarah Lane dealt with depression.

They worked through that period and continued making music, though their existing history cuts off around 2012 with mention of a plagiarism issue. Their catalog includes those three albums and songs that blend melody with personal themes.
