A Dutch trio that broke through with "1234 Back!" and kept touring Europe for years.
If you're checking them out, start with "1234 Back!" and maybe "I was a fool." That gives you the range without overthinking it.
They had that 1991 single "1234 Back!" that just stuck around as their signature track. The Edison Award for "In Between" in 2002 showed they could still put together a solid album later on. Songs like "I was a fool" and "Something Happened To My Heart" give you a sense of their mix, pop and rock with some folk in there.
Maarten and Peter de Boer started the band with Henk Westbroek in 1988. "1234 Back!" broke them in 1991, and they kept going through the '90s with a compilation in 1998 and that Edison-winning album in 2002. They toured Europe regularly while they were active.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
