Archive material and source history
Astrid formed in Stockholm in 2014 with Frida Öhrn on vocals, Oscar Holter on guitar and vocals, Rasmus Arvidsson on bass, and Salem Al Fakir on drums and vocals. They released an EP that year simply called "Astrid," followed by the album "Questions" in 2016. Their 2018 single "2AM" became a notable track for them.
In 2019, they put out the album "Leave It Beautiful" and faced some criticism for performing at a festival in Saudi Arabia. That same year, they received a Swedish Grammis Award and a P3 Guld Award, both for Song of the Year. They released the single "Dance with Me" in 2022.
Their songs include "Aula de Matemática," "High in the morning," "It's true," "Kitchen TV," and "Redground."
