Astrid Lindgren

Astrid Lindgren formed in 1998 in Borlänge, Sweden, with three siblings named Anna, Erik, and Anders Lindström. They first got attention for a cover of the traditional folk song "Sommaren Är Min," which helped them find an audience in Sweden. Their early work had a folk feel, like on the 2002 album "Sommar i Stockholm." Later records, such as 2016's "Allt Kommer Bli Bra," moved into more experimental territory while keeping a certain melancholic tone.

Their songs often dealt with personal and social themes, which sometimes drew criticism alongside praise. They worked with other Swedish musicians like singer-songwriter Ane Brun and producer Tobias Fröberg at different points. The Lindström siblings remained the core of the band throughout their run.
