Archive material and source history
Atomic Swing is a Finnish electronic duo that started in 1999, formed by Antti Parviainen and Mikko Viljanen. They put out their first album, 'Laid Back Guide to Suicide', in 2003, which included the track 'Panicburgh City'. That song became a staple in clubs and helped them reach a wider audience.
Their music mixes techno, trance, and ambient sounds, with Parviainen handling keyboards and production and Viljanen on guitar and vocals. After the debut, they released albums like 'Chemical City' in 2005 and 'The Legacy of Power' in 2008, shifting toward more industrial and post-punk influences over time.
In 2011, Parviainen left the group, and Viljanen kept Atomic Swing going as a solo project. Other songs from their catalog include 'Smile' and 'Stone Me Into The Groove'.
