Atômicos MC's came together in São Paulo in the early 1990s, with C4bal and DJ Primo at the center. They worked with producers Rica Perrone and DJ Hum. The Brazilian hip-hop scene was just starting up then, and they were trying to find their place in a music landscape that was mostly focused on rock.
Their debut album, 'Cada Uma Que Me Aparece,' came out in 1993. The title track became a staple, mixing funk and samba rhythms with hip-hop. They followed it with 'Essa Noite Vai Ser Foda' in 1996 and 'Direto do Coração' in 1999.
Their lyrics often touched on social and political issues, which sometimes sparked debate. They became known as a significant early voice in Brazilian hip-hop.
