Atomizer

Atomizer came together in West Yorkshire in the early 1990s, with Paul Ellis on vocals and guitar, Steve Craven on bass, and Steve Pugh on drums. Their first single, "A Cold Farewell," arrived in 1991 and set the tone for what followed, a kind of industrial rock that felt both abrasive and strangely melodic.

They put out a few albums through the decade, including The Emptiness in 1993 and The Wreckage in 1995. Songs like "And Dust We Again Shall Be" and "Death-Mutation-Disease-Annihilation" give you a sense of their territory: heavy textures, dark themes, and a sound that didn't really fit neatly into what was happening around them.

Atomizer called it quits before the 2000s, but those records have stuck around. They weren't trying to make anthems, just these dense, atmospheric pieces that some people still dig up when they want something with a little more grit and gloom.
