Atras de Verbas formed in Lisbon around the mid-2000s with Pedro Manó on vocals and guitar, Jorge Cruz on bass, and Mário Costa on drums. They put out a debut EP called 'Para o Meu Amor' in 2006, which had the song 'Rock'n'Roll (Para o Meu Amor)' on it.
After Cruz left in 2009, João Galrito joined on bass. The band's 2010 album 'O Mundo às Avessas' drew some attention for its lyrics and artwork. They kept making records through the 2010s, including 'A Alegria de Estar Vivo' in 2014 and 'V.I.T.R.I.O.L.' in 2018.
