Audio 3 formed in Mexico City around 2010 as a trio with Ernesto Snafu on vocals, Gustavo Arraya on bass and synthesizers, and Sergio Acosta on drums. They put out their debut album '365 Dias' in 2012, which gave them some attention with its title track. That song, along with others like 'Pois É' and 'Não Me Deixa', shows their lean toward electronic rhythms and more reflective lyrics.

Their later albums, including 'Leyenda' in 2014 and 'Al Final' in 2016, kept working with electronic textures and ambient touches. The band's sound drew some criticism for being too inward-looking compared to mainstream pop, but they generally stuck to their own approach. They've continued releasing music, with albums like 'Supernova' in 2018 and 'Tiempo' in 2021.
