Augusto e Gustavo

Augusto e Gustavo formed as a duo in the early 2000s, with Augusto César on vocals and guitar and Gustavo Fonseca handling keyboards and vocals. Their debut album 'Cara a Cara' came out in 2009, and the title track became their breakthrough hit. That song, along with others like 'Simples Oi' and 'Dose de Balada,' helped build them a following in Brazil.

They've put out several albums since then, including 'Meu Mundo' in 2011, 'Infinito' in 2013, and 'Origens' in 2017. Their music tends toward acoustic pop with straightforward lyrics about relationships and everyday moments. In 2010, they faced a plagiarism lawsuit over 'Cara a Cara,' though the case was eventually dismissed.

More recent tracks like 'Protagonista' and 'Mistura Perfeita' show them working with other artists and sticking to their accessible, melodic style. They still perform and release music, maintaining a presence in Brazil's pop scene without much of the dramatic industry narrative that sometimes gets attached to duos.
