His debut album 'Cafuné' came out in 2013. The title track became his most recognizable song, built around his vocals and acoustic guitar. In 2016, there were accusations that the melody of 'Cafuné' was copied from another song, which Maya denied and was resolved.
He has released other albums including 'Perto' in 2015, 'Embolada' in 2018, and 'Luzia' in 2021. When performing, he's often joined by musicians like Luan Val on guitar, Gabriel Gaiato on bass, and Wesley Thayller on drums.
