As sure as the fire has claimed us before

It will claim us again

and all that was will fail

and our world will turn to ash

for all empires fall

and all memories fade

when in the end

no one will remember your name

all you've built has turned to dust

and the words of men like me come true

but no one will remember us

and no one will remember anything

No prayer to God, No Opus et fin

Not one work of Man shall withstand the sands of time

and all that will endure

is the wind through the pines

and all that will last

is the stones and the hills

and the waves on the sea's everlasting shore
