Avatar Darko is an electro-industrial duo from Berlin, made up of Lucifix and Helena. Lucifix came from industrial music, while Helena had classical vocal training. They put out their first single "Murda Mami" in 2017, which built them a cult following with its hypnotic rhythms and Helena's haunting delivery.
Their debut album was called "Witch Lust," and they followed it with "Darkflower" and "Arcana." Those later records moved toward more melodic and introspective territory, though they kept the dark electronic textures that defined their early work. The duo's lyrics and stage presence drew criticism at times for being provocative, but that didn't stop them from developing a dedicated audience.
