Awaiting Onset formed in London around 2003 with Max Dansi on vocals and guitar, Tom Bishop on bass, and Sam Hartley on drums. They put out a debut EP called 'The Weight of Existence' in 2005. Their first full album came two years later, titled 'Brothers, Kings, and Queen's Square,' which included the track of the same name.
That 2007 album drew some attention for its lyrics, with talk about possible references to drug use. The band went through a period of lineup changes and took a break after Hartley left in 2010. They returned to recording and playing in 2012 with some new members.
