Awaken I Am

Awaken I Am formed in Los Angeles in 2007 with Mark Pellizzer and Billy Mercer, later adding Beau McKee on bass and Matt Young on drums. They released their debut album 'Whispers' in 2011, followed by 'Roses' in 2013 which included the title track that became their most recognizable song.

Their music blends rock with electronic and folk elements, creating atmospheric arrangements that recall some of Radiohead and Coldplay's textural approaches. Songs like 'Blind Love' and 'The Stages Of Grief' from their catalog show this layered, introspective quality.

After 'Roses', they put out 'Blossom' in 2015 and 'Bloom' in 2018, maintaining a consistent output through the decade. The band built their audience through steady touring and developing a sound that felt both expansive and personal.
