Aymoréco

Aymoréco formed in São Paulo in 2012 with Diogo Schwenck, Supla, Christiano Maluf, and Marcelo Cebriano. They started playing music that drew from Brazilian traditions, though early on they faced the usual financial struggles and limited attention that many new bands encounter.

Things shifted in 2018 when their single 'Chuva de Like' caught on and spread quickly online. The track's popularity brought them a wider audience, but also some criticism from listeners who felt the band was leaning too much toward mainstream sounds. They kept releasing music, including songs like 'Rapadura' and 'Dói Demais' from their self-titled 2019 album.

The group's live shows developed a reputation for high energy, with Schwenck and Supla handling vocals, Maluf on guitar, Cebriano on bass, and Rick Aguiar joining on drums. Their recordings mix Afro-Brazilian rhythms with straightforward, often heartfelt lyrics, as heard on tracks like 'Antoninho' and 'Estrela Universal'.
