Black Moon formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s, originally called Moon. The lineup included vocalist Fernando "Fernandão" Ribeiro, guitarist Roger Moreira, bassist Marcelo Barbosa, and drummer Fábio Penna. They were an unsigned band for a while, which meant working with limited resources.
Their debut album "Moonlight Shadow" came out in 1995, followed by records like "Metal Mania" in 1997 and "Eclipse" in 2000. The song "Brasas de Março" became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs in their catalog include "Limbo," "Rosas Cinzas," and "SadNight.mp3."
Fernandão handled vocals, Roger played guitar, Marcelo was on bass, and Fábio played drums. Their lyrics sometimes touched on darker themes, which drew some attention at the time. They were part of Brazil's metal scene during that period.
