Their sound had a hazy, atmospheric quality that drew comparisons to Broadcast and The Velvet Underground, with shimmering guitars and lyrics that leaned toward the introspective.
Their debut album in 2000 was titled after the song "Nowhere Girl," which became their best-known track. They followed it with albums like "Glass Mountain" in 2003 and "The Carnival" in 2006, maintaining that ethereal, dream-pop feel across releases. Other songs in their catalog include "Amnesia," "Arctic Summer," and "Just An Echo."
B-Movie's music never quite broke through to a mainstream audience, and they stopped releasing new material after 2009's "Walking Distance." But "Nowhere Girl" stuck around, finding listeners who connected with its moody, detached atmosphere.
