B Praak

B Praak, born Pratik Bachan in Nakodar, Punjab in 1986, grew up with traditional Punjabi music and the work of singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Jagjit Singh. His 2019 song 'Filhall,' which he wrote and composed, became a viral hit that established him as a singer-songwriter. The track's raw emotion connected with listeners and topped music charts.

Since then, he's released singles like 'Dil Tod Ke,' 'Ranjha,' and 'Teri Mitti,' and has sung for Bollywood films including 'Kesari,' 'Jabariya Jodi,' and 'Luka Chuppi.' In 2020, he faced plagiarism allegations over 'Filhall,' which he denied by pointing to his roots in Punjabi folk music.

His songs often deal with love and heartbreak, mixing Punjabi folk elements with pop. He works with musicians like guitarist Rahul Dev Burman and bassist Maninder Buttar, but remains primarily a solo artist.
