B-rocka formed in Philadelphia in 1999 with Brent Carter on vocals and guitar, Steve Stone on bass, and Chris Chadwell on drums. Their sound mixed punk, metal, and hip-hop in a deliberately raw way. Their debut album 'Fuck You, I'm Drunk' came out in 2000 and did well on independent charts.
Their song 'Mrs. Wades A Bitch' became notorious for its lyrics and sparked plenty of debate. The band released three more albums, 'Bitches, Booze, and Bruises' in 2002, 'Hate, Rage, and Revenge' in 2004, and 'The Last Hurrah' in 2006, before calling it quits that same year. They had a loyal following who appreciated their unfiltered approach, even as critics and some listeners pushed back.
B-rocka's seven-year run was loud and contentious, and their music found an audience that liked its rough edges and confrontational style.
