B Street was an Italian pop-rock band active in the 1970s, led by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Maurizio Vandelli. They released their self-titled debut album in 1971, followed by 'A Posteriori' in 1972 and 'Io Sono Qui' in 1973. The band's lineup included members like Marcello Todaro on drums, Paolo Costa on bass, Marcello Martellucci on keyboards, and Massimo Brunetti on lead guitar at various points.
In 1975, B Street released 'Sei Tu,' which became their most recognizable song. The track topped the Italian charts that year. The band continued releasing albums through the decade, with numbered titles running through 'B Street X' in 1980.
Vandelli faced plagiarism accusations at one point, though the band regrouped and kept recording. Their music maintained a following in Italy, with 'Sei Tu' remaining their signature piece long after the band's active years.
