Babe Youth formed in Los Angeles with four members: Cash Cash, Jungle Green, Aidan Glynn, and Nick Martinez. They started playing together in basement rehearsals before releasing their song "Break Me" in 2022. That track got some attention for its raw lyrics and melody, though it also drew criticism from some who thought it dealt with difficult themes.
After "Break Me," the band put out two EPs called "Rough Stuff" and "Dusk." They've mentioned being influenced by shoegaze bands like My Bloody Valentine and by Elliott Smith's songwriting. Their debut album "Punisher" was expected to come out in 2023.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
