BABY BOOMER

Baby Boomer formed in Los Angeles in 1987 with Danny Hayes on vocals, Jake Spencer on lead guitar, Alex Carter on rhythm guitar, Matt Davis on bass, and Tom Richards on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 1990, which included the single 'Bound.' That song became their breakout track, with a big melody and driving rhythm that got them noticed.

Their sound leaned on classic rock structures but had enough energy to feel current at the time. They followed up with albums like 'Thunder Road' in 1993 and 'Fearless' in 1996, keeping a steady output through the decade. Another song from their catalog, 'Have You Ever Seen a Boy In The Light?', shows their range within that rock framework.

The band went through some lineup changes and took breaks here and there, which wasn't unusual for groups working through that era. They kept playing and recording, putting out 'Legacy' in 1999 before things quieted down. Their music from that period still turns up on rock playlists, anchored by songs like 'Bound' that defined their early sound.
